Who knew that Donald Glover was so influential? I understand why he is a star: the brother is talented and creative. He can write, act, do stand-up, and he dabbles in music on the side under the pseudonym “Childish Gambino.” If I ever cross paths with youngblood I’ll have to ask him how he came up with that name.

I am sure he had no clue that when he released his hit song “Redbone” in November of 2017 that he was setting off a political bomb that would blast America into its own age of fascism.

That was the song that popularized the phrase “stay woke,” which was abbreviated by culture vultures and cynical assholes into “woke.” And if you believe the company line from damned near every company with a platform, a nationwide rejection of “woke” is what determined the outcome of the 2024 election.

Anybody who is familiar with the song knows that there was no political content. Glover intended to tell a story about his relationship with a woman going south and his warning to her about the ill-intent of other men she will encounter after him. But his…
