“OF COLOR” IS OFFICIALLY OVER
It Took Far Too Long, But It Is Finally Time To Bury This Phrase Forever
I am certainly not the first race-writer to make this point but as God is my judge I am determined to be amongst the last. The people “of color” bullshit has to go. May this be amongst the many concepts that will meet their bitter end on the morning of January 20, 2025. While I will mourn the loss of the concepts of “hope,” “justice,” “inclusion,” and “accountability,” I will dance on top of the grave I will personally dig for “of color.”
“Of Color” Makes Strange Bedfellows
Of the many reasons I have grown to despise this phrase, none can compare to this: “of color” as it is typically used, connects me with Vivek Ramaswamy and Kash Patel. The elevation of these clowns and their white supremacist, brown-face, cosplay routine were the last goddamned straw. David Saint Vincent is, and always has been, a Black man. I am not “of color.” Notice is hereby formally served to all the world to never refer to me as such or include me in that group again. Group identity is not always a choice, but in this case it most certainly is.
